  • Norway’s Statoil sells stake in oil block in Angola

    ANGOLA, 2016/03/26 Norwegian oil company Statoil has sold the 20 % share it held in the company responsible for oil production in block 4/05 of the Angolan sea, according to an executive order signed by the Angolan Oil Minister. The document signed by Jose Maria Botelho de Vasconcelos authorises the transfer of Satoil’s interest in the production sharing arrangement on that block, north of Luanda, but does not explain reasons or funds involved in the transaction.
  • Statoil sells stake in Mozambican oil blocks

    NORWAY, 2013/04/05 Norwegian group Statoil has a sold 25 % of the stake owned by its subsidiary Statoil Oil & Gas Mozambique in an oil exploration license in Mozambique to the Mozambican subsidiary of Japanese group Inpex Corp, the group said in a statement issued Tuesday.
  • Build $16bn oil hub on Europe northern;

    NORWAY, 2013/02/13 Norway’s Statoil will spend up to $16.3bn to build a new oil hub near the northern tip of the European continent, banking on finding additional oil in an ambitious Arctic exploration campaign. Statoil, a pioneer in Arctic oil and gas production will bring its huge Skrugard and Havis finds in the Barents Sea into production by the end of 2018 and plans an onshore terminal that will cope with additional crude once work in the area takes off.
