Italy: Turkmenistan developing trade ties with Italy

Turkmenistan has recently completed effective development of trade relations with Italy, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported.
The foreign trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Italy amounted to $1-1.3 billion in 2014-2015. Turkmenistan's exports to Italy exceeded $528 million in January-June 2016 and the foreign trade surplus is close to $500 million.
The newspaper reported that the European vector, characterized by the appearance of such major trading partners as Italy and the UK, was observed in Turkmenistan's foreign trade in 2012-2015.
The foreign trade turnover with Italy in 2012-2015 varied from $1 billion to $2.5 billion, and with the UK - from $500 million to nearly $550 million.

Italy seizes NGO rescue boat for allegedly aiding illegal migration
2017/08/03 Italian coastguards seized a migrant rescue boat operated by a German aid group in the Mediterranean suspected of aiding illegal immigration from Libya, a prosecutor said on Wednesday.
