Authorities set to announce new geothermal tender
CHILE, 2010/08/29 Chilean authorities will announce details of a new tender for geothermal concessions in coming days. Over the completed year, the country has overhauled its geothermal concession process. Companies used to have to submit requests for specific areas, and the requests again had to be approved by the mining and geological bureau Sernageomin, the national border service Difrol, the national water board DGA, the indigenous peoples council Conadi, the national forestry service Conaf and the defense ministry.
