Angola: Angola: Cape Verdean Minister Hails Cooperation Level.

The existing cooperation in defense and military areas, between the Republics of Angola and Cape Verde, were, Tuesday, considered excellent by the Cape Verdean Minister of Defence and Parliamentary Affairs, Rui Semedo.

"The cooperation between Angola and Cape Verde has advanced in recent years, with chance for both nations," said the official, while addressing the official talks between Angolan and Cape Verdean delegations.

For the defense and armed forces, the Cabinet minister has envisaged that relations march faster, with the existence of concrete actions of exchanges, training and combined military exercises.

Minister Rui Semedo defended, however, the need to continue to deepen cooperation. In his speech, he said that Cape Verde has a coastline extension of additional than 700,000 square kilometers and facing challenges in control of it due to piracy and drug trafficking.

Due to this situation, the official said, we have the support of Angola and other nations to circumvent the situation.

From presently on today, Rui Semedo who carries out a three-day visit to Angola, will visit the Military Technical Institute (ISTM), the National War College and the Army Command.
