In 2002 the analogue cellular network was replaced by a digital camera to the GSM system 900. This led to a growth of more than triple the number of mobile subscribers. ADSL speeds up to 1Mb / s are provided by both fixed line and ADSL WiFi (wireless access). In March 2008 Digicel Pacific has launched a GSM network in Vanuatu.
