  • China to deliver 500 new-energy buses to Thailand

    CHINA, 2015/09/30 Chinese bus maker BONLUCK will deliver 500 new energy buses to Thailand by the end of this year. The gas buses were ordered by a Bangkok bus company in a 50-million dollar transaction signed in 2014, said Li Han, vice general manager of CHTC BONLUCK BUS Co., Ltd. The buses are designed to carry a maximum of 100 passengers each, Li said.

  • Qatargas first LNG cargo to Thailand

    QATAR, 2012/12/23 Qatargas has delivered its first ever cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the Kingdom of Thailand, the company said in a statement. The company said that the cargo was delivered to the Map Ta Phut LNG Terminal by the conventional LNG carrier “Golar Viking”. Khalid Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, chief executive officer of Qatargas said: “Qatari LNG continues to have a key role to play in helping governments around the world improve the diversity of their energy supplies. We are pleased with this development which will help to meet the growing request for energy in the Kingdom of Thailand.”

    THAILAND, 2010/08/04 Plans to develop a high-speed rail system in Thailand are gathering pace, with a series of routes being considered as part of a programme to boost passenger and freight services and better integrate the transport network with the rest of the region. Various proposals to develop a high-speed rail system have been raised since the mid-1990s, with of the prime suggestions a line linking Bangkok to Nakhon Ratchasima in the north-east. None got completed the design stage.
