    AZERBAIJAN, 2015/09/16 Azerbaijan has all the necessary resources to form its own analog of Silicon Valley, said Ali Kutvan, General Director of KoçSistem Azerbaijan. The country has highly qualified and talented specialists in IT whose innovative ideas and solutions can facilitate the integration of Azerbaijan into the world economy, he said. “We signed an agreement with the Azerbaijani Qafqaz University for the establishment of the Research and Development Center,” he said. The center will operate at the University’s High Tech Park, where about 20 specialists will be able to carry out their activities in the field of development and research.

Other government agencies played a key role in the draft program preparations. The program has as well set the funding required for its implementation. The issue of financing of the national programs is by presently under consideration by the Finance Ministry.

    AZERBAIJAN, 2014/03/08 Chile plans to create an data communication technology market benefiting from Azerbaijan's experience in this field. Chile's charge d'affaires in Azerbaijan Gabriel Khara made the announcement in a conference with Azerbaijani ICT Minister Ali Abbasov in Baku, the ministry reported on March 6. Chile's new government attaches great importance to the development of relations with Azerbaijan, Khara said. "The country's achievements in ICT sector may be a subject of experience exchange between the two nations. It can as well create opportunities for mutual investments in this area," he said. Khara believes that cooperation between embassies and mutual visits by the two nations will give a new impetus to the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Chile.
